Anyone here used poser ?

I like Blender. I found it a lot easier to pick up than some other 3D modellers. The only thing is that it doesn't have a great reputation, seeing as it's free.

Hey that looks good chance. Looks to be a lot of fun. Have you heard of Blender? It's a free 3D modeling program. You can download it here:

You can pick up a recent version of Poser (I believe it's v4) from one of the computer mags - it's slapped on the front of the magazine and only costs a fiver or so. Should be more than adequate for storyboarding and/or playing around.

I wouldn't recommend trying to storyboard extensively with 3d apps. It takes far too long and is really hard to do. They're good for concept stuff but I'd stick with a pencil for the actual production boards.

Unless, of course, you have loads of free time.
